We are a group of independent Asbestos Surveyors carrying out Asbestos Survey work to help companies comply with the recently updated asbestos survey legislation, ‘Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012’.
All of our staff who carry out Asbestos Surveys are qualified to the appropriate level to produce an Asbestos Building Survey under the current regulations. Within an asbestos survey, an asbestos surveyor must identify all materials either thought to contain asbestos or ones which could be mistaken for asbestos.
We use a UKAS accredited laboratory and our team are able to undertake full sampling using the correct safety equipment set out by a number of government and industry health and safety standards.
Asbestos is a serious problem and should not be dealt with inappropriately. In the UK, there are over 3,500 people who die each year as a result of exposure to asbestos.
We provide a range of survey options which consists of:
- Asbestos Management Surveys
- Asbestos Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys
- Asbestos Management
- Asbestos Consultancy Advice
By law, you must have an asbestos management plan such as that provided by an asbestos survey conducted on any non-domestic property that was built before the year 2000. If you don’t comply with the law there are various consequences that can occur:
- Putting at risk the health and safety of your staff and customers
- Possible compensation claims
- Negative publicity against business
- Property value decline
These might sound like extreme measures but asbestos is potentially a very dangerous substance – as previously stated, in the UK, 3,500 people die each year as a result of exposure to asbestos. In addition, many insurance companies may refuse to renew your policy unless you have identified any potential asbestos risks and developed an asbestos management plan.
